DID YOU KNOW?
Lucille Ball – undisputed Queen of Comedy; first woman to be shown pregnant on screen; and star of “I Love Lucy” which premiered when she was 40 years old – was the first woman to run a major television studio. She began Desilu Productions with husband Desi Arnaz but eventually bought him out and ran the studio solo (2,000 employees, 36 sound stages and 62 acres). In 1967, Lucy sold her studio to Paramount Pictures, marking Paramount’s very first step into television history. We really do love Lucy. #ilovelucy
